Why did you decide to run for this office?

As a child, I experienced the importance of community service first hand. When my mother was not able to care for me due to mental health, my community made sure I was taken care of. From my extended family to teachers and mentors, I have always known the reality of the cliche “it takes a village”. As an adult, I am committed to being that village for others. But there’s only so much I can do without creating systemic change. The reality is that our schools need to be fully funded, folks need accessible healthcare, and we need to fight for working families in our community.

What are your top 3 priorities for serving in this office?
  1. Economy – I have spent my first term fighting for working families. From better wages to paid family leave, I am committed to building an economy for all of us.

  2. Education – Fair salaries for teachers and student-staff ratios in line with professional recommendations are the very least we can do to ensure our students have what they need to succeed.

  3. Healthcare – Expanding Medicaid was a great first step, but we need to ensure we have enough providers so folks can actually access healthcare.
What experience/qualities make you a good choice for this office?

My experience growing up has helped me to understand how important our governmental services are to helping folks succeed, while my experience as a nurse has given me the expertise and knowledge necessary to fight for real policy solutions to inaccessible healthcare.

Why did you decide to run for this office?

The district maps were redrawn and my current representative does not represent my principles or values. God kept putting it on my heart to run, so I am being obedient. Now is the time to fight for the things we love. I love my community and I want to fight for the people in my district.

What are your top 3 priorities for serving in this office?
  1. Stop government overreach

  2. Fiscal Responsibility

  3. Lower Taxes

What experience/qualities make you a good choice for this office?

My work profession is in accounting and finance. I was the controller of a restaurant management group that operated 11 locations. I was there during the unprecedented times of Covid and the recent inflation. I was apart of navigating cash flow as we dealt with inflated food cost and labor shortages.
I am a fighter for what the people of my community. During the covid craziness, I fought against the crazy mandates from the state and local governments.
